As part of its process of continuous improvement and of retaining and attracting new members, Leather Cluster Barcelona is working on the implementation of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

This new system will make it possible to optimise internal processes, improve organisation and ensure more efficient management. At the same time, it will facilitate more personalised communication and better monitoring of the activity and participation of each company or entity associated with the cluster.

The digital tool that Leather Cluster Barcelona will implement is Timtul, a software specialised in entities, clusters and communities that helps manage communication with members.

To optimise the CRM, it is very important to update the information of all members, in order to have a database that is as up to date as possible and that allows the experience of the different cluster members to be personalised according to their needs.

Having up-to-date information is key to:

• Improving direct, personalised communication with each company
• Detecting collaboration opportunities between members
• Identifying technical capabilities, product lines and markets of interest
• Facilitating participation in European projects and competitive calls
• Generating synergies within the leather value chain
• Optimising access to the Intranet and the member’s personal area
