01. What cookies are

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Audience measurement runs in cookieless mode (in memory, with no persistent identifier and no cross-site tracking), so it stores no information on your device and requires no consent under Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI.

02. Our approach: no tracking

We store one entry in the browser's local storage (lcb_consent) to remember your decision about enhanced analytics. In the admin area we use session cookies (httpOnly) that are essential for authentication.

03. Strictly necessary storage

During checkout, Stripe may set cookies on its own domain for fraud prevention. PostHog session replay and the linking of events to your email address are only activated if you give explicit consent. The map on the contact page is a Google Maps service and is only loaded when you click "Load the map"; when you do, Google may set cookies on its own domain and receive your IP address. The video on the home page is played with the Vimeo player in "Do Not Track" mode, so Vimeo sets no tracking cookies and collects no audience data.

04. Third-party services

You can accept or decline enhanced analytics from the notice shown on the site, and change your decision at any time using the "Analytics preferences" control at the end of this page. If you disable enhanced analytics, session replay stops and your email address is unlinked from analytics. If your browser sends the Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, enhanced analytics stays disabled.

Igualadina de Depuració i Recuperació (IDR) is a corporate initiative led by Leather Cluster Barcelona (LCB), in collaboration with tanners from the Rec district of Igualada. It was founded with a clear mission: to treat wastewater from the leather sector and ensure a cleaner, more environmentally respectful water cycle.

Thanks to this alliance, IDR has become a unique platform in Catalonia, driven by a shared commitment: to promote a more sustainable leather industry.

03. Purposes and legal bases

Audience measurement uses PostHog in cookieless mode: data is processed in memory, with no persistent identifier and no cross-site tracking, and is hosted in the European Union region. For this reason it does not require a cookie consent banner. See our Cookie Policy for details.

04. Analytics and cookies

We share data with providers acting as processors under contract: Directus (content management software), hosted by the technical provider responsible for maintaining the website; our CRM provider, which receives and manages contact messages, newsletter subscriptions and registrations on our behalf; Stripe (payment processing); Resend (email delivery); PostHog (analytics, EU region); and automatic translation providers for the site's content (Microsoft Azure or, where enabled, AI services such as OpenAI or OpenRouter), which do not receive form data. If you load the map on the contact page, Google (Google Maps) receives your IP address; the video on the home page is played from Vimeo in do-not-track mode. We do not sell or share your data for advertising purposes.

05. Recipients and processors

Where a processor handles data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the appropriate safeguards provided by the GDPR. PostHog and Microsoft Azure process data within the European Union; Stripe, Resend, Google (Google Maps), Vimeo and, where enabled, the AI translation services (OpenAI, OpenRouter) may process it in the United States under standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

06. International transfers

We keep data for as long as necessary for each purpose: enquiries for up to 12 months from the last communication; registrations and payments for the statutory accounting and tax periods (up to 6 years); and the newsletter until you withdraw consent.

07. Retention

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to info@leatherbarcelona.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

08. Your rights

We may update this policy. If we do, we will revise the effective date and, where the changes are significant, inform you through the usual channels.

Our results from the beginning to the present

For centuries, tanners have recovered this byproduct of the food industry and recycled it into high-value sustainable consumer goods. This practice not only reduces waste but also promotes responsible use of resources.

Byproduct Valorization

At IDR, we are committed to the circular economy as the foundation for sustainable development. Tanners recover hides—byproducts of meat consumption, the main protein source for over 90% of the global population—and recycle them to prevent waste. These hides are transformed into elegant, noble, and useful products for society, contributing to sustainability through their durability and by being both biodegradable and compostable.

Catalan tanners, members of Leather Cluster Barcelona, remain committed to the zero-waste model. The cluster drives several initiatives to optimize the valorization of byproducts and reduce waste generated throughout the entire production process within the leather industry's value chain.

The wastewater treatment plant in Igualada, which currently treats the wastewater from 26 companies, is a pioneering model in Europe. Its advanced biological system significantly reduces both water consumption and the pollutant load associated with leather processing.

01. Identification

These terms govern registration for, and where applicable payment of, courses and activities organised by the provider and offered through the website.

02. Purpose

Prices are shown in euros and include applicable VAT. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card data.

03. Prices and payment

Once registration is complete you will receive a confirmation by email. Your place is subject to the availability indicated for each activity.

04. Confirmation and access

Activities take place on specific dates. Under article 103.l of the consolidated text of the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to registrations for activities tied to a specific date. If the organiser cancels or postpones an activity, the amount paid will be refunded. For any request, write to info@leatherbarcelona.com.

05. Cancellations and refunds

Places are limited. When an activity reaches maximum capacity, a waiting list may be offered where applicable.

06. Capacity and waiting list

The provider is not liable for service interruptions beyond its control, nor for damage arising from improper use of the website by the user.

07. Liability

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts having jurisdiction under the applicable consumer protection law.
