On Friday 10 March, a group from the Loewe brand in Japan visited Leather Cluster Barcelona to immerse themselves in the world of leather through active learning that combined guided visits of a technical nature with others of a historical and cultural character.

The Loewe team was made up of very senior members of the fashion brand in Japan: the country-level quality and training directors, as well as the manager and the repairs craftsman of the Osaka store.

This tailor-made training day imparted knowledge about leather and its transformation process, with visits to the Badia and Miret tanneries, and also included theoretical content on history, the circular economy and sustainability, with practical visits to the Cal Granotes museum and to IDR, the wastewater treatment plant of the Igualada tanning industry. An experience for discovering the world of leather as a whole through the Igualada leather ecosystem.

The intensive day was very highly rated by the Loewe delegation from Japan and made a very positive contribution to broadening their experience.

Thanks to this training activity, the Loewe team was able to enjoy the unique leather theme park offered by Leather Cluster Barcelona, through active learning designed to promote knowledge of leather among these fashion professionals.
