Behind the Nubuckcuir brand is Mon Soler, a Fine Arts graduate who continued her training with the degree in craft design of leather accessories at the La Gaspar municipal school of art and design in Igualada.

In 2012 her love story with leather began, a material that connects her with manual work and creativity. Leather allows her to strike a balance between the idea, the creation and the object.

Fortunate enough to live in a farmhouse surrounded by nature, that is where she set up her workshop. With a firm commitment to a more sustainable world and to respect for the environment, strongly committed to giving value to craftsmanship, to noble, high-quality and locally sourced materials, to the love of nature and to calling for responsible consumption, the Nubuckcuir atelier was born at the end of 2013.

Nubuckcuir is a slow leather accessories project, where every piece is created entirely in her small, secluded atelier, with wonderful views of Montserrat. It is there that the design takes shape and all her collections are created.

Constantly learning and training, in 2016 Mon Soler received from the Generalitat de Catalunya the professional artisan card in the field of the manufacturing trade, leather goods. Along with the D´Aque distinction, which certifies that all the leather accessories are of Catalan and artisanal origin, produced one by one by hand with quality leather.

For Nubuckcuir, the connection with nature and respect for the land and the rural world are essential. In a permanent search for the balance between fashion and sustainability, she creates exclusive designs of leather bags and backpacks that are timeless, versatile, simple, light and functional yet comfortable. They are designed to be used every day and to have a long life.

The designs are efficient, they are produced by hand and every detail matters, because she chooses the best quality materials from local producers.

A hallmark of Nubuckcuir is the value it places on our forebears, on tradition and on craftsmanship, in order to maintain and champion the leather goods trade by creating unique leather accessories, designed with a purpose and with the time required, one by one, by hand and without haste… And also to promote the circular economy, making the most of our nearby resources, avoiding the saturation of the planet and generating wealth in our own territory.
