Leather Cluster Barcelona at the Fira UdL Treball for another year

Leather Cluster Barcelona was once again present as an exhibitor at the Fira UdL Treball careers fair, held on 9 and 10 March, this year in a virtual format.

Organised by the University of Lleida, this fair brings university students and recent graduates into contact with the business community. For students, the Fira UdLTreball is a way to learn at first hand about job opportunities and to receive specific guidance on employability. For companies, it is a way to make themselves known and to present themselves as a real option for a professional future.

Owing to the current health situation, the Fira UdL Treball 2021 was held online and, through a platform, students were able to access the companies’ different virtual spaces, their job offers and a range of activities, events and online webinars.

The fair was a great opportunity to present the cluster and the professional profiles being sought to students, who were able to discover the employment, curricular placement and continuing training options offered by Leather Cluster Barcelona member companies.

Leather Cluster Barcelona showed students the breadth and diversity of career paths open to those developing a professional career in the leather sector, opportunities ranging from the circular economy to sustainable fashion and internationalisation.

With a high rate of employment, Leather Cluster Barcelona members offer the chance to develop an ongoing professional career in any of the different subsectors that make up the leather value chain: tanneries, chemical companies, research bodies, innovation, the environment, sustainability and the circular economy, manufacturers of leather goods and fashion accessories, and fashion and luxury brands.
