Protecting the company from cyberattacks is one of the concerns of the cluster's members

Today, Friday 10 October, Leather Cluster Barcelona organised a highly interesting session on cybersecurity for SMEs. Under the title "The future is digital, and so is the danger: protect your business", the session was delivered by Àlex de Brinas, an expert in cybersecurity and digital risk and CEO of the company CYDOO.

CYDOO was born to protect SMEs against the risks of cyberspace. Its mission is to democratise access to cybersecurity services for small and medium-sized enterprises, ensuring the protection of their operations, their digital assets and their business reputation against cyber threats. Today CYDOO protects more than 4,000 SMEs, with a management team with over 25 years of experience in corporate cybersecurity and more than 8,000 cyber incidents handled.

Àlex de Brinas, an experienced executive with a solid technological background, explained clearly and practically why cybersecurity must be a priority for any company and what the main threats affecting SMEs are. He also shared useful advice on reducing risks, strengthening company security and preparing for the challenges of the digital world.

Leather Cluster Barcelona organised this information session in response to one of the concerns that its members have expressed during the personalised visits carried out by the cluster's working team.

It should be recalled that, since July, the Cluster Manager of Leather Cluster Barcelona, Mònica Santamans, and the Project Managers, Carla Vélez and Jonatan Cuadrado, have been holding individual meetings with the cluster's members. The initiative forms part of the member loyalty and recruitment strategy of the 2025-2030 Master Plan, drawn up by the new management of Leather Cluster Barcelona and presented to the Board of Directors on 23 May.
