Significant presence of cluster members exhibiting in Milan
The Cluster Manager of Leather Cluster Barcelona, Mònica Santamans, and Project Manager, Carla Vélez, were in Milan during Lineapelle, where they had an intensive working agenda.
Lineapelle, one of the oldest and most prestigious international leather trade fairs in the world, devoted to leather, accessories and components for the footwear, leather goods, clothing and furniture industries, took place from 23 to 25 September.
During Lineapelle, the cluster’s management held meetings with various international bodies and associations from the leather industry in order to strengthen synergies and forge collaborations in areas ranging from research and innovation to sustainability, the circular economy, sustainable fashion, training and communication.
These meetings with different companies and players from the leather industry value chain around the world aim to develop collaborative projects in a range of fields and to consolidate Leather Cluster Barcelona as an indispensable platform for the innovation, internationalisation and sustainability of the Catalan leather sector.
This edition of Lineapelle featured 1,150 exhibitors from 37 countries, consolidating the Italian fair in its position as a global platform for the fashion, luxury and design industries.
A total of ten tanning companies belonging to Leather Cluster Barcelona took part in Lineapelle, exhibiting their leather articles in this major international showcase, which brings together fashion professionals from all over the world in search of novelties, trends and accessories.
The tanneries Curtits Aqualata, Curtidos Badia, Colomer 1792, Combalia, Despell, La Doma, Miret y CIA, Morera Pell, Curtidos Riba Guixà and Miguel Farrés Rojas (Splenda) exhibited in one of the world’s fashion capitals, Milan, championing leather as an example of the Circular Economy and Sustainable Fashion.
Leather Cluster Barcelona is an environment of competitive cooperation for promoting cross-cutting, transformative strategic projects with the aim of driving forward the ecosystem of the Catalan leather sector within the framework of Shared Value policies.
