The 1st meeting to promote co-creation between innovative companies and fine craftsmanship

The Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda (CCAM) has organised the first edition of Crafts2B: a new commercial networking platform to connect supply with demand, generate synergies and exchange knowledge between the business and craft sectors. The event took place on 10 October at the Roca Barcelona Gallery in Barcelona.

The initiative, which has a business focus, has as its main objective to open a new channel for promoting co-creation between innovative companies and fine craftsmanship. In this respect, it seeks to put master craftswomen and craftsmen in touch with companies that might incorporate craftsmanship into their value proposition.

In the same way, it aims to promote the application of the techniques and knowledge of the great master artisans in companies that pursue excellence in their products and brands.

Crafts2B is, above all, a space for communication and the exchange of knowledge. To this end it hosted a number of networking spaces structured according to commercial interests, business sectors and trades, in order to establish contacts between the participating companies.

The event also featured two round tables. The first discussed the factors for introducing fine craftsmanship into the business and industrial ecosystem, and a second was entitled “The value contributed by craftsmanship and its projection in the professional and business sphere. Business models”.

Leather Cluster Barcelona collaborated during the early stages of this project by helping, among other things, to identify leading leather artisans, and took part in this first business meeting in order to generate business opportunities and expand the market for the Catalan craft sector.

During the event a fine audiovisual piece was screened, “20 stories of co-creation between craftsmanship and brands”, featuring two craft companies that are members of Leather Cluster Barcelona: Aldonondo y Fdez and Nquart Leather: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YI7n6rNsgPU&ab_channel=Empresacat
