Leather Cluster Barcelona takes part in Première Vision

The Catalan leather ecosystem present at the Paris fashion trade fair

From 12 to 14 February Leather Cluster Barcelona was present as an exhibitor at the Première Vision Paris trade fair, the major global event for fashion professionals held in the French capital. For three days, Première Vision brought together the leading industries of the fashion world in terms of product offer, know-how and services in Paris, its world capital.

Leather Cluster Barcelona is the global, cross-cutting network made up of more than 45 companies and organisations from the value chain of the Catalan leather industry. The cluster has its capital in Igualada and its headquarters at the Adoberia Bella, the European Centre for the Interpretation of Quality Leather.

In a unique ecosystem of cooperation between business, education and science around leather, the main objective of Leather Cluster Barcelona is to combine, coordinate and energise the efforts of all the companies and stakeholders in the Catalan leather sector, in order to increase their competitiveness, improve their efficiency and drive the growth of their joint business.

Leather Cluster Barcelona invited the Leather University of the Igualada-UdL Campus and A3 Leather Innovation Center to take part in its stand at Première Vision Paris, as centres that provide training, research and innovation to the sector.

In a modern facility with laboratories, a pilot plant and latest-generation equipment, a group of 30 experts and doctors in various scientific and technological fields promotes international R+D projects connecting the main players in the leather industry value chain. Researching and developing new technologies with a cross-cutting approach and implementing new strategies for sustainable production, A3 Leather Innovation Center UdL is working on a global circular economy project with leather stakeholders and fashion brands from all over the world.
