The session led by Connect-IN was a great opportunity to explore new ways to boost the internationalisation of the sector

This Friday, 27 March, we held a new session at the Adoberia Bella for Leather Cluster Barcelona members, organised together with Connect-IN, focused on funding opportunities to boost the international promotion of companies in the sector.

This international promotion grants session was led by the Connect-IN team. Connect-IN are Internationalisation Support agents (ASI) of ACCIÓ and consultants accredited by ACCIÓ in the area of Internationalisation to carry out export-initiation and international-strategy projects. They offer specialised internationalisation services that provide 360º coverage of all areas of the company to prepare it for the global international process, and they have a powerful international network of professional connections through an industrial virtual community where business synergies can be generated.

The session was a great opportunity to share key information, answer questions and explore new ways to boost the internationalisation of the sector.

The session allowed participants to delve into different lines of aid that can fund strategic actions such as:

• Participation in international fairs and events
• Digital marketing and communication campaigns
• Development and optimisation of websites
• Traditional marketing actions
• Other initiatives linked to internationalisation

During the session, real cases of Leather Cluster Barcelona companies were also shared, such as Despell, which already accessed these grants in the previous edition, highlighting the positive impact of this aid on their international activity.

In addition, attendees had the opportunity to hold individual meetings with the Connect-IN team to analyse their specific needs and identify the most suitable lines of aid in each case.

At Leather Cluster Barcelona we monitor funding opportunities for our members’ projects.
