The initiative seeks to optimise internal cohesion and activate member participation in order to build a stronger, better connected, more useful and more widely recognised cluster
This July, the Cluster Manager of Leather Cluster Barcelona, Mònica Santamans, and her working team, Project Managers Carla Vélez and Jonatan Cuadrado, began personalised visits to the cluster’s members.
The initiative forms part of the member loyalty and recruitment strategy of the 2025-2030 Master Plan, drawn up by the new management of Leather Cluster Barcelona and presented to the Board of Directors on 23 May.
The member loyalty and recruitment strategy is a key element in guaranteeing the consolidation, growth and financial self-sufficiency of Leather Cluster Barcelona. In a sector as specialised as leather, strengthening the sense of belonging, offering value-added services and creating an active community are essential to maintaining and increasing the membership base.
The aim of this strategy is to ensure a solid, ongoing relationship with current members and to attract new relevant players from the value chain, consolidating Leather Cluster Barcelona as an indispensable platform for the sector’s innovation, internationalisation and sustainability.
During the personalised visits to members, the cluster team presented the Master Plan and completed a questionnaire with various questions in order to get to know the members better. The information obtained will make it possible to refine the classification of members according to profile and needs and to develop personalised service packages.
In an intensive month of July, the management team of Leather Cluster Barcelona carried out more than 15 visits to member companies representing the entire value chain of the leather industry.
The member loyalty and recruitment strategy of the 2025-2030 Master Plan constitutes a fundamental pillar for the consolidation and future of Leather Cluster Barcelona. By strengthening the bond with current members and attracting new players with a clear value proposition, the cluster is positioning itself as a benchmark platform for the leather sector.
Leather Cluster Barcelona is an environment of competitive cooperation for promoting cross-cutting, transformative strategic projects with the aim of driving forward the ecosystem of the Catalan leather sector within the framework of Shared Value policies. The cluster is an accredited body within the Catalonia Clusters programme and has the support of Acció.
