About the cluster

Leather Cluster Barcelona brings together 70 companies and stakeholders from across the value chain of the leather industry in Catalonia. Its members have an aggregate turnover of more than 750 million euros and employ over 2,100 people. The cluster is an accredited body within the Catalonia Clústers programme and has the support of Acció.

Leather Cluster Barcelona’s vision is to improve the value chain of the tanning and leather finishing industry in Catalonia, covering everything from livestock farming to design in leather craftsmanship and fashion, with a strategic focus on the circular economy, sustainability, people development, innovation, good practice and image projection, on the basis of Shared Value (driving economic growth, social improvement and a positive environmental impact).

Job description

We are looking for a committed and flexible person, passionate about innovation and about work well done, who as a Project Manager wishes to develop professionally in a competitive cooperation environment for promoting cross-cutting, transformative strategic projects with the aim of driving forward the ecosystem of the Catalan leather sector.

Responsibilities of the post:

  • Supporting the development of the cluster’s innovation projects.
  • Preparing application and justification reports for public grants (both technical and financial) at regional, national and European level, including coordinating partners’ requirements and monitoring and carrying out the obligations linked to the grants.
  • Collaborating on the preparation and execution of the organisation’s annual Action Plan, including the organisation of events such as conferences and training sessions.
  • Managing, coordinating and supporting the running of events at Adoberia Bella.

Requirements

  • 3 years of professional experience.
  • University degree.
  • Languages: Catalan, Spanish and English.
  • IT: advanced command of Office (Word, Excel and Power Point).
  • The following will be valued:
    • Knowledge of innovation and project management
    • Skills in information technologies and management systems
  • Other requirements/skills and/or competencies required for the post:
    • Previous experience in managing files linked to public grants
    • Ability to work in a team and to build trust
    • Organisational and self-management skills
    • Empathy, proactivity and communication skills
