The proposed 2025-2030 Master Plan that will set out the cluster’s strategic lines for the coming years is presented

On Friday 23 May the meeting of the Board of Leather Cluster Barcelona took place at the Adoberia Bella, the cluster’s headquarters.

Among the items on the agenda, particular note was taken of the proposal by the president, Bernat Vilarrubias, of Mònica Santamans as the new Cluster Manager of Leather Cluster Barcelona.

With a large turnout of executives, the cluster’s Board unanimously appointed Mònica Santamans as the association’s new Cluster Manager. She will have the support of the Project Managers Jonatan Cuadrado and Carla Vélez in taking on the various Leather Cluster Barcelona projects encompassed by the new Master Plan.

Santamans then presented the proposed Master Plan for the 2025-2030 period. This plan, which will set out the strategic and priority lines for the Cluster’s development over the coming years, has been designed taking into account the current and future needs of the member companies, with a clear focus on results, competitiveness and collective impact.

The document defines specific objectives, priority areas of action and new approaches to strengthen the Cluster’s positioning both nationally and internationally.

Under three broad strategic lines, the cluster’s economic self-sufficiency, the building of prestige and European positioning, and the generation of real impact for member companies, nine major projects were presented for implementation in this new stage.

Prior to her appointment by the Board, Mònica Santamans passed with distinction the assessment tests carried out by ACCIÓ to validate her aptitudes and capabilities as Cluster Manager.

This new stage begins with the firm intention of achieving more active participation by the members, from each and every link in the value chain, both in the projects and in the day-to-day running of the cluster.

With the aim of strengthening the engagement and sense of belonging of Leather Cluster Barcelona members, over the coming months the Master Plan will be presented personally and in detail to each of the members by the new Cluster Manager, Mònica Santamans, and her working team.

Leather Cluster Barcelona is an environment of competitive cooperation for promoting cross-cutting, transformative strategic projects with the aim of driving the ecosystem of the Catalan leather sector within the framework of Shared Value policies.
