These non-repayable grants are an excellent opportunity for the digitalisation of companies

On 10 October, at an event organised at Adoberia Bella, the headquarters of Leather Cluster Barcelona, the company Intarex presented the grants and incentives for digital solutions for companies covered by the Kit Digital programme.

Intarex, a member of Leather Cluster Barcelona, was founded in 1994 in Igualada with the mission of making its customers more competitive through technology. It specialises in developing and implementing comprehensive software solutions tailored to the needs of sectors such as leather, and is an authorised digitalisation agent for delivering the Kit Digital.

The Kit Digital programme is promoted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation of the Government of Spain and plans to invest 3 billion euros, funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU funds.

The programme provides companies with a digitalisation voucher that they can use to implement digital solutions for their online presence in areas such as the creation and management of websites, e-commerce or social media management; to incorporate digital tools for customer and supplier management and the digital office, business intelligence and analytics, virtual office services and tools, process management or electronic invoicing; or to implement technology for secure communications or cybersecurity, among others.

This line of non-repayable grants to encourage digital solutions in companies ranges from 2,000 to 29,000 euros, depending on the number of employees in the company.

During the session, various professionals from Intarex set out the different requirements and conditions of the Kit Digital and how to apply for it.

They also explained several success stories of companies that had already received the Kit Digital grant, such as Despell, a tannery company that is a member of Leather Cluster Barcelona, which used the grant to create its website and implement digital solutions for customer and process management.

At the end of the presentation, Intarex, as an authorised digitalisation agent, made itself available to all the cluster's members to provide information and manage the Kit Digital.

Leather Cluster Barcelona encourages all its members to apply for the Kit Digital line of grants, stressing the importance of taking a step forward in company digitalisation in order to project a strong overall image of the leather sector.

Leather Cluster Barcelona is an environment of competitive cooperation for promoting cross-cutting, transformative strategic projects with the aim of driving forward the ecosystem of the Catalan leather sector. The cluster is an accredited entity within the Catalonia Clusters programme and has the support of Acció.
