The Anoia-based chemical sector company Comercial Godó has been honoured in the professional career category by the Unió Empresarial de l’Anoia (UEA), through an open and participatory vote by UEA members.

The award to Comercial Godó, a member of Leather Cluster Barcelona, was presented during the 23rd UEA Business Night, and was collected by its manager, Xavier Bustos.

The Business Night is the flagship event of Central Catalonia, organised by the UEA, at which 430 business owners, authorities, mayors, councillors, employers’ associations, regional organisations, trade unions, bodies, socio-economic agents and professionals filled the Les Comes pavilion in Igualada.

In addition to the awards, and as a new feature intended to showcase business strength, this year’s edition of the UEA business night included special recognition for companies in the county and members of the organisation that are celebrating a significant anniversary in 2023, such as Comercial Godó, which is marking its 50th anniversary.

Comercial Godó was founded in 1973. Its activity is based on the marketing and distribution of base and speciality chemical products for industry in general, focusing above all on water treatment, the leather industry, textiles, food, detergents, chemical formulators, agrochemicals and metal surface treatment, among others.

With fifty years of history, it works in close collaboration with the sector’s leading manufacturers, both national and international, which has allowed it to offer a varied range of products and services.

Leather Cluster Barcelona is an environment of competitive cooperation for promoting cross-cutting, transformative strategic projects with the aim of driving forward the ecosystem of the Catalan leather sector. The cluster is an accredited body within the Catalonia Clusters programme and has the support of Acció.
