Leather Cluster Barcelona closes an intensive first seven months of the year, marked by collaboration, new projects and a shared commitment to the future of the sector

Before the summer break, Leather Cluster Barcelona would like to thank all the member companies, collaborating institutions and professionals for their trust, participation and commitment; through their involvement they help, day after day, to grow and strengthen the Catalan leather ecosystem.

The cluster currently brings together more than 80 companies and stakeholders from across the value chain, from livestock farming and the food industry to tanneries, chemicals, research, sustainability, design, craftsmanship, leather manufacturing and fashion. This diversity allows us to act as a platform for connection, collaboration and shared growth at the service of the sector as a whole.

Recent months have been intensive in terms of activities, meetings, visits and new initiatives aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of companies, driving collaborative projects and making progress in strategic areas such as innovation, sustainability, the circular economy, internationalisation, communication and talent development.

Within the framework of the 2025-2030 Master Plan, we continue to work to better understand the present and future needs of our member companies, to encourage their participation and to offer services and projects that are increasingly useful and tailored to the reality of each organisation. The personalised visits to members are one sign of this commitment to listening, closeness and a results-oriented approach.

All this shared work consolidates Leather Cluster Barcelona as a driving force for cooperation and transformation in the Catalan leather industry, with the aim of strengthening its positioning both nationally and internationally.

We hope this summer will be an opportunity to rest, switch off and recharge your batteries. In September we will resume our activity with new projects, events and actions to continue building, together, a stronger, more connected, more innovative cluster that is ready to face the challenges of the future.
